Michael Phelps Denies Olympic Return
Clearly enjoying his retirement, Michael Phelps hopped into the Fontainebleau pool in Miami Beach with a camera crew on Tuesday (March 20).
The 27-year-old gold medalist sported a tiny multicolored speedo with his goggles and quite a bit more body hair than we saw at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Though USA teammate Ryan Lochte predicted the 27-year-old retiree would return for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Michael recently shot down those rumors.
While accepting his Exceptional Achievement Award at the Laureus World Sports Awards, Mr. Phelps confirmed, "It has been an amazingn career, and it is crazy to think that it is over, but I've done everything that I wanted to do in sport. I wanted to change swimming and take it to a level, and I have. But I will continue to be a part of sport and help grow sports. That is a goal and a passion of mine.”
