Mariah Carey Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson
Offering up an emotional performance, Mariah Carey took the stage at Staples Center in honor of Michael Jackson on Tuesday (July 7).
Miss Carey opened up the day’s tribute with a stirring rendition of the Jackson 5 ballad "I'll Be There."
Joined for the duet by Trey Lorenz, the pair began singing shortly after Jackson's golden casket was placed in front of the Staples Center stage to the sounds of a church choir.
Drawing out the stars, the public event came just after a private service for family and friends in the Hollywood Hills.
