Melissa McCarthy Earns an Emmy Nod, Keeps Busy on the Set of "The Heat"
Giving a wry smile to photographers, Melissa McCarthy was seen working hard on the set of her new movie "The Heat" in Boston on Friday (July 20).
The "Bridesmaids" breakout star was clad in baggy green pants, a black top and gray sleeveless jacket, with matching black leather shoes and fingerless gloves.
There's a reason to smile for the 41-year-old actress. She recently nabbed an Emmy nomination for her CBS comedy "Mike & Molly" in which she portrays the wife of a police officer who met her husband at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting.
The news may come as a relief for Ms. McCarthy as the set of "The Heat" has been plagued with bad luck lately. A city bus crashed into a production vehicles earlier in July and just two days later, a stabbing suspect was arrested near the set.
The buddy cop comedy depicts the star as a Boston Police officer who joins forces with an FBI agent, played by Sandra Bullock. "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig also helms this film which is scheduled for release in April 2013.
