Melissa McCarthy to Direct and Star in "Tammy"
Putting on many hats for her pet project, Melissa McCarthy will direct and star in "Tammy" which she also co-wrote with her husband, Ben Falcone.
The raunchy comedy follows a woman who is laid off from her job at Hardee’s, discovers her husband is having an affair, and decides to go on a road trip with her alcoholic, foul-mouthed, diabetic grandmother.
One of the first project she set her sights on after hitting it big in "Bridesmaids," New Line hopes to get the film going this year.
On Friday, you can catch the 42-year-old funny lady in theaters in her new comedy with Jason Bateman called "Identity Thief."
