The Ladies of Haim Featured in Marie Claire April 2014
Continuing to take over the music industry, the band mates of Haim opened up about their new popularity in the April 2014 issue of Marie Claire magazine.
While rocking a few poses for the Silija Magg-shot spread, sisters Danielle, Alana and Este Haim shared details about the band and revealed their true feelings about being around each other 24/7.
Check out a few highlights from Danielle, Alana and Este's interview below. For more, be sure to visit Marie Claire!
"Playing with my sisters has never felt like a job. We love to travel and wanted to be able to do it together, and we were like, What’s the most frugal way we could do that – oh, yeah, we’ll just have a band! We’ll basically sing for our supper."
On Haim's sound
"If I read ‘Check out this brand; they sound like both Fleetwood Mac and Beyonce,’ I’d be like, What?! I get squeamish when people say that. Fleetwood Mac is one of the greatest bands out there! Let’s start a little smaller, you know?"
On Haim's famous supporters
"Every girl grows up reading the [fashion] magazines and wanting to wear these clothes…Never in our wildest dreams would we think that we could own Givenchy. It’s very surreal to have designers saying, ‘We really love what you’re doing and want to support you.’"
