Ever since she appeared on the modeling scene Kate Upton has been making waves, and in her Elle UK cover story, the buxom blonde reveals her farming past.

The curvy Sports Illustrated Swimsuit stunner explains, “It made me very goal-oriented and focused. I’m not opposed to a hard day’s work for a good outcome.”

"Living on a farm, beauty doesn’t get you anywhere. Because I was pretty didn’t mean I could convince my sister to do my chores. It was kind of inconvenient to be pretty, growing up."

And despite her ever-growing net worth, Upton insists money isn’t important to her. "I feel like I’m rich because I love my family and friends. I love my horse and my dog. I would be fine leaving all of this behind and living on a farm somewhere."

As for body image issues, Kate confesses, "Everybody at some point in their life doesn’t like themselves. It’s not like I look in the mirror and think, ‘I’m killing it. My eyes are killing it.’ No, a lot of times I’m puffy and bloated. I like myself in general, but there are days when you just don’t."

Furthermore, Ms. Upton couldn’t be happier with her fabulous physique, as she dreamed of having curves as a youngster. "I was really excited about becoming a woman. Because I’m from Florida, it’s all about being in bathing suits. It’s a different view of beauty there. You are ugly if you don’t have a curvy body. And I didn’t have one, and then I got one, and thought, ‘Yessss!’ And then people say, ‘Oh, wow, you’re healthy.’ And you’re like, ‘Wait – what?’ I’ve been begging for this body my whole life!’"
