Liam Neeson Opens Up About the Death of Wife Natasha Richardson

He lost his wife Natasha Richardson five years ago following her skiing accident, and now Liam Neeson is finally ready to share details about the tragic loss.

During his interview with Anderson Cooper on "60 Minutes," the "Taken" star opened up about the final moments he had with Natasha before taking her off life support.

"I was told she was brain dead..." Mr. Neeson recalled. "She was on life support... I was in to her, and I told her I loved her, said 'Sweet you're not coming back from this, you've banged your head.'"

Liam continued, "She and I had made a pact, if any of us got into a vegetative state that we'd pull the plug. So when I saw her, that was my immediate thought: 'Okay, these tubes have to go. She's gone."

In regards to his acceptance of Miss Richardson's death, the 61-year-old actor stated, "[Her death] was never real. It still kind of isn't.
