Box Office: "Zero Dark Thirty" Hunts Down the Competition

Starting its first weekend of expanded play, "Zero Dark Thirty" took the top spot at the box office for January 11-13, 2013.

The Academy Award nominated Jessica Chastain fronted film about the hunt for terrorist Osama bin Laden garnered a $9.6 million Friday and a $24.5 million weekend haul.

Moving in to a new year, "Texas Chainsaw 3D" took first place at the box office for the weekend of January 4-6, 2013.

The John Luessenhop directed horror film had a Friday take of $10.2 million with a $23 million debut weekend in theaters.


Taylor Swift's Red Tops Billboard 200 Charts, "Les Mis" Hits #2

Hitting number one for the seventh week, Taylor Swift's Red album topped the Billboard 200 charts for the final week of 2012.

The album's success awarded the country crooner a total of 24 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts throughout her career. Her previous album Fearless spent 11 weeks in the top spot with Speak Now topping it for six weeks.

He’s always up front with his opinions, and Adam Lambert definitely stirred the proverbial pot with his criticism of the singing in “Les Miserables,” most notably that of Russell Crowe.

The “For Your Entertainment” singer initially posted, “Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers.”
