Annie Leibovitz Shoots “Les Miserables” Cast for Vogue
It’s one of the most anticipated films of the upcoming holiday season, and “Les Miserables” got the all-star treatment from Annie Leibovitz for the Vogue December 2012 issue.
The famed photographer deftly captured the essence of each character for the newly-released portraits, lending more buzz to “Les Mis’s” Christmas Day theatrical release.
Everyone from Anne Hathaway to Amanda Seyfried, Russell Crowe to Hugh Jackman, and Isabelle Allen, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Helena Bonham Carter all sat for Ms. Leibovitz in full period costume, and the images look amazing.
Ms. Hathaway discussed her 25-pound weight loss for her role- “I had to be obsessive about it. The idea was to look near death. Looking back on the whole experience – and I don’t judge it in any way – it was definitely a little nuts. It was definitely a break with reality, but I think that’s who Fantine is anyway.”
Meanwhile, Miss Seyfried summed the film up quite nicely- “The whole thing is really one big love story. There’s something about Les Mis that makes everyone see the world differently.”
