Lena Dunham Weighs in on Dylan Farrow Sex Abuse Letter
Over the weekend, Woody Allen's daughter Dylan Farrow published an open letter about the alleged sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her father.
And Lena Dunham has joined the discussion, posting a series of tweets about the tragedy of unreported violations across the board.
The “Girls” star stated, “In wake of Dylan’s letter I’ve noticed a lot of guys obsessed with the idea of being falsely accused… as if you would just be walking down the street one day, get accused of assault or sexual misconduct, and suddenly life would derail.”
“There have, of course, been plenty of terrible and unjust cases in the past… most victims NEVER speak up. Most never feel they can. These are not stories we tell for fun, attention or revenge,” she added.
Woody Allen, meanwhile, is yet to speak up to defend himself.
