Oscar Pistorius Charged with Death of Girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp
He rose to fame as the first Paralympian to compete in the Olympics last year, but “Blade Runner” Oscar Pistorius’ reputation's took a serious dive after being convicted of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
According to a report, the world-class athlete was the only suspect in his supermodel girlfriend’s demise, as she was shot four times in the wee hours this morning at Oscar’s Pretoria, South Africa home.
Steenkamp’s rep told press, "Our thoughts and prayers go to the Steenkamp family, who have asked to have their privacy respected during this difficult time, everyone is simply devastated. She was the kindest, sweetest human being; an angel on earth and will be sorely missed."
Insiders have claimed that Reeva was planning a Valentine’s Day surprise for her 26-year-old boyfriend, but things took a turn for the worse. Police have recovered a 9mm pistol believed to be the murder weapon.
Local police spokesperson Denise Beukes told press, "Yes, there are witnesses, and there have also been interviews this morning. We are talking about neighbors and people that heard things that happened earlier in the evening and when the shooting took place."
