Larry King Quits "Larry King Live" After 25 Years
Making headlines this year for his marital issues, Larry King is pulling the plug on his long-lasting CNN show "Larry King Live".
After 25 years on the air, the talk show host has announced that it's time "to hang up my nightly suspenders."
The 76-year-old, who was close to divorce before patching things up with Shawn Soutwick, said the move will "give me more time for my wife and I to get to the kids' little league games."
"With this chapter closing I'm looking forward to the future and what my next chapter will bring," King adds.
Planning to announce a replacement within weeks, CNN reps said of the news, "Larry King defined the art of the television interview. His candor, curiosity and compassion are legendary, and his ability to interview people from all walks of life – world leaders, celebrities and everyday people – has made him an icon."
