She's transitioning into life after "Saturday Night Live" and Kristen Wiig was chosen to grace the cover of the August 2012 issue of Marie Claire magazine.

The 38-year-old comedic actress looked charming in a jacket and pants from Tom Ford and Bulgari jewelry for the Tesh shot front page while dishing about everything from her love of the rain to her contentedness with Strokes drummer boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti.

Highlights from Miss Wiig's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Marie Claire!

On her love of wet weather:
"I love the rain. It's my favorite weather.I feel like it cleans the city a little bit."

On her shy quality:
"I am shyer than most people think... I hated speaking in public. I would miss school just so I wouldn't have to do it."

On being in a good place with her Strokes drummer boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti:
"I will say that I'm happier than I've ever been and I feel very lucky right now." Why? "Where I am now. Who he is. Those are the two big ones."

On what she did during her 3-month "low-impact living" stay in Mexico after dropping out of college at age 19:
"Sailing, kayaking, going with 20 strangers into the mountains of the Yucatán. Probably one of the more important things that I've done. It felt like that first big accomplishment. I was scared to do it, I knew it was going to be really hard, and I did it."

On leaving SNL, after seven years:
“I know a lot of people probably assume, ‘Oh, she’s leaving because she is going to be doing movies now and things like that,’ which I will be. But I just always knew it was going to be seven and that was it. I think maybe if I were 22, I could see myself staying a little bit, but it just felt like the right time.” She continues: Still, “it was very emotional. I just wanted to get through it without breaking down in every sketch. Because nothing says comedy like breaking down.”
