Kiernan Shipka Talk “Flowers In The Attic” on “Today”
Rounding out the week with some media duties, Kiernan Shipka showed up at the “Today” show in New York City on Friday (January 17).
Joined by her costars Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn, the “Mad Men” cutie rocked Dana Rebecca Designs earrings and chatted about her new Lifetime movie “Flowers in the Attic,” based on the cult novel by V. C. Andrews.
Kiernan noted that despite the creepy incest plot line, she still had a blast making the made-for-television flick- “It’s such a different story than my life so there’s a lot of separation. I think it’s more fun to play more dramatic, crazy things. I tend to play these awful, depressed characters which I don’t know why but I love it, so it’s good.”
Per the synopsis, “Flowers in the Attic” is “tells the story of the Dollanganger kids who, after the unexpected death of their father, are convinced to stay hidden in the attic of their ruthless Grandmother.”
