Katie Perry Tours Brazil while Racking Up Four MTV VMA Nominations
Spending time in Rio de Janeiro for the premiere of her movie, "Katy Perry: Part of Me," Katy Perry took time out of her promotional schedule to visit the famous "Christ the Redeemer" statue.
The newly single singer wore a short black dress, a hooded jean jacket, and black boots as she made her way to the top of the Corcovado Mountain.
The "California Gurls" songstress showed her excitement on Twitter Sunday (July 30) when she tweeted, "SO HAPPY TO BE BACK IN BRAZIL!"
There's more excitement around the corner for the 27-year-old pop star. Her music video for "Wide Awake" was just nominated for MTV Video Music Awards "Video of the Year." The nomination is one of four total for Miss Perry in the 2012 VMAs.
