Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise Make Joint Divorce Statement, Reach Settlement
Commenting on their current relationship demise via legal personnel, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' have just released a joint statement addressing their divorce.
The 50-year-old actor and his 33-year-old estranged wife tell, "We are committed to working together as parents to accomplishing what is in our daughter Suri's best interests."
Cruise and Holmes' statement adds, "We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents."
Meanwhile, Katie's lawyer took the statement a step further to announce a settlement has been reached, telling, "This case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life.”
The words come just as the former "Dawson's Creek" star was spotted at the Children's Museum in New York City with daughter Suri Cruise this morning (July 9).
