Katie Holmes Braves Chilly Big Apple for Theater Gig
All bundled up in cold, rainy NYC, Katie Holmes headed to the theatre to perform in the play "Dead Accounts" on Wednesday (November 7).
The "Dawson's Creek" star looked cozy in a navy blue puffy coat, black nylons, black boots, and white fuzzy earmuffs as she carried an umbrella in one hand and a hot Starbucks beverage in the other.
In the Broadway play, the 33-year-old actress portrays Lorna, a defensive sad sack who has moved back home with her parents in Cincinnati after a failed relationship.
The comedy is about morality and middle-class Ohio Catholics; not too much of a stretch for Katie. She grew up in a Catholic family in Toledo, Ohio.
However, after all the changes in her life she still finds herself asking in an interview with the New York Times, "Do these values still work for me? “Do they still make sense? I’ve asked myself those questions for years.”
