She just announced her new position as anchor of Yahoo News and now Katie Couric reveals the real reason behind her big decision with Glamour.com.

The 56-year-old journalist opened up about making the big move to internet-based news and revealed why she believes Yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer is a perfect leader.

Check out a few highlights from Miss Couric's interview below. For more, be sure to visit Glamour.com!

On morning shows:
"Morning-show segments are so short and they've gotten increasingly light over the years."

On her decision to go with Yahoo:
"The [online] real estate is so valuable. The reach is extraordinary. I learned that when I did my interview with Sarah Palin for CBS and more people saw it online than on a TV platform... I'm excited to take advantage of that in the best possible way."

On her admiration for Marissa :
"It's always great news when you see more women [like Mayer] in these positions of authority, and I think it's great that she's making some bold moves. At this point in my career, I like great leaders. I think they can come in a skirt or in a suit or in a pair of jeans and a hoodie. I really admire Marissa, not as an impressive woman - [but] as an impressive person."
