Jumping on an astronomical opportunity, Kathryn Bigelow is working on a film about the Navy SEAL team who killed Osama Bin Laden.

The award-winning director and her “Hurt Locker” screenwriter, Mark Boal, have been planning a movie about the search for the Al-Qaeda leader for awhile now.

And since news that bin Laden was found and killed was made public this past Sunday (May 1), the film will be based on the Navy SEAL team who carried out the heroic task.

According to Variety, Boal had been writing a film script on the team’s activities and he now plans to rewrite the script to include details of the raid on the compound in Pakistan where Osama was shot.
