Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight: Goodbye Grey’s Anatomy
It’s been long rumored that Katherine Heigl was thinking of moving on from her “Grey’s Anatomy” gig. And now we’ve learned that she will indeed be parting ways with the show, and she’s taking T.R. Knight with her.
According to James Pickens Jr. who plays Dr. Richard Webber, Heigl’s departure has been confirmed. He told press, “Yes, she is [leaving]. Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best.”
Additionally Knight is looking to expand his horizons, and has taken the “Knocked Up” actress’ lead to leave the show as well. Pickens revealed, “He’s going too. He just wanted to pursue other career paths.”
An unnamed source on the “Grey’s” set corroborates the story, telling press, "Katherine is ready to move on to the next chapter," and T.R. Knight is “not shy about telling people” that he wants out of his contract.
