Kate Middleton: Beautiful in Blue at the National Portrait Gallery
Ready for a fabulous affair, Kate Middleton arrived at the National Portrait Gallery in London, England this evening (February 11).
The Duchess of Cambridge donned a stunning blue evening gown paired with an amazing diamond necklace as she greeted guests before heading inside.
The 32-year-old is the guest of honor at the event celebrating the work of Man Booker Prize-winning novelist Hilary Mantel.
Kate will have to hold in any anger after Mantel caused outrage last year with comments made towards the Duchess about her role in the British monarchy.
While Middleton was pregnant with baby George, the author said that Kate had gone from being a “jointed doll on which certain rags are hung” to a woman whose “only point and purpose” was to give birth.
Now, the author’s “pen portrait” of Thomas Cromwell is the reason for Kate’s visit this evening, as she promotes the work at the National Portrait Gallery’s fundraiser.
