Stepping out for some Olympic fun, Kate Middleton attended the ‘Road to 2012: Aiming High’ exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London, England this morning (July 19).

The Duchess of Cambridge smiled beautifully for the press as she fulfilled her role as an official patron, and viewed photographs that were commissioned to document the preparations for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Always the clotheshorse, Ms. Middleton had everyone’s attention in her ¾ length sleeve Olympian blue crepe shift dress by Stella McCartney.

Also in the house for the big event were 30 VIP guests including Ruth Mackenzie, Jeremy Hunt, and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.
