Justin Bieber’s Elvis Duran Interview
Making a stop in New York City, Justin Bieber dropped by the “Elvis Duran Show” to show some love to his radio fans.
The “Boyfriend” stud talked about the way his new album Believe has endeared him to a whole new group of more mature listeners.
“That was the whole plan with this album. I wanted to, you know, make more people into Beliebers. I know that sounds corny, but at the end of the day for once I can let my music speak for itself.”
Bieber also discussed his show at the Apollo Theater, which ended up being quite the ordeal. “We were supposed to actually perform in Times Square, but since all of the things that happened overseas with the pandemonium, they wouldn’t give us the permits. So we had three days to figure out a venue. And so we were like, ‘Dang, where are we going to perform?’ So finally I was like, I want to perform at a place where Michael [Jackson] performed. And they thought of The Apollo, which was the first place where Michael felt like he got his start.”
“Near the end [of the concert], the sound shut off. There was still lighting, but it was the sound board. My mic was out, the band couldn’t play. So the last song, we had the fans sing it and I did full choreography and we all had a fun time.”
