Taking time away from the set of her highly anticipated film "The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part II," Julianne Moore landed herself a feature in the March 2014 issue of REDBOOK magazine.

During her sit down with the publication, the "Carrie" actress shared her thoughts about her freckles getting airbrushed from professional photos and her kinship with other redheads.

Check out a few highlights from Miss Moore's interview below. For more, be sure to visit REDBOOK!

On her love for redheads:
"Whenever I see one on the street, I nod or say hello. I feel like there’s a redhead collective – you notice each other."

On her issues with Photoshop:
"Sometimes a magazine wants to see my actual skin, and other times they’ll airbrush them out. I don’t care either way. Once my daughter saw me on a cover where I had no freckles and said, ‘That doesn’t look like you at all!’ And then – just like a kid – ‘I like you better without them.’ Thanks!"

On "stars without makeup" tabloid stories:
"They’re upsetting. I want people to look natural and normal, and I’m all for showing that, but I don’t like when magazines show pictures of someone looking terrible. We all have our moments when we look awful. My gosh!"
