Julianna Margulies Covers Fairlady August 2012
She was just announced as one of the esteemed nominees for the Best Actress (Drama) Emmy, and Hollywood mainstay Julianna Magulies also was selected to grace the cover of the August 2012 issue of Fairlady magazine.
The 46-year-old actress brought her alluring beauty to the publication's front page with the feature article finding her talk about her hit show "The Good Wife", as well as plastic surgery, career transitions and marriage.
Highlights from Miss Margulies' interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Fairlady!
On steering clear of plastic surgery:
"I'm not going to blank out my face. I want people to know what I'm feeling. But I eat well, I work out, I don't go in the sun. I try to maintain what I have with dignity."
On her role of Alicia Florrick in 'The Good Wife':
"What I love about this character is there so many points of entry. People relate to everything, from her putting her career on hold for 13 years to being a working mom, to having a husband who's cheating, to having an affair of her own, to having a daughter who gives her grief for drinking a glass of wine. But I've always had that kind of face. Even high school, I was the girl people told their problems to."
On being happy with her path from 'ER' to the present:
"I wouldn't be who I am today if I were back there. That's the beauty of growing up. I feel like everything is falling into place, so I feel younger than I did my thirties. I'm in better shape, I have a better understanding of the world. I feel more free."
"I thought everyone was full of sh** about marriage until I met the right guy. I'm from divorce. I didn't have a great example of marriage. My father paid alimony, but we didn't have a lot. And 12, I wrote in a journal: 'I will never depend on anyone for money.' I always struggled with finding the right mate. It's one of those things where if you live long enough with a man who has a cold, you're going to catch the cold."
