Demi Lovato and Zendaya Respond to Joe Jonas' Disney Bashing
His candid interview with New York Magazine drew a lot of attention, and now fellow Disney alums Demi Lovato and Zendaya Coleman are responding to Joe Jonas' harsh criticism of the family friendly company.
In the publication, the middle JoBro explained, "Being a part of the Disney thing for so long will make you not want to be this perfect little puppet forever. Eventually, I hit a limit and though, 'Screw all this, I'm just going to show people who I am.'"
Then, he continued, "I think that happened to a lot of us. Disney kids are spunky in some way, and I think that’s why Disney hires them. 'Look, he jumped up on the table!' Five, six, ten years later, they’re like, 'Oh! What do we do?' Come on, guys. You did this to yourselves."
Though he outed her as the person who convinced him to try marijuana (along with Miley Cyrus), ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato showed her support by tweeting simply, "@joejonas love you brother. #family/friendsforever."
However, Zendaya Coleman, who just came off a popular Disney series called "Shake It Up," thought he went too far, tweeting, "I admire @joejonas and his honesty...so real and brave...but that's his journey, not mine...don't worry about me #igotthis."
