JK Rowling Admits Hermione Granger Should Have Fallen for Harry Potter
Revealing her hidden feelings towards Harry Potter's best mates, JK Rowling divulged a stunning secret and plot twist, six years after the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."
In an interview with the Sunday Times, the world renowned 48-year-old author spoke with Emma Watson, telling her all about her regret for the fact that Hermione and Ron Weasley tied the knot in the end.
"I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment," she told Watson. "That’s how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron."
Admitting that the book-smart Hermione and Chosen One, Harry would have been a "better match," Rowling stated, "I’m sorry, I can hear the rage and fury it might cause some fans, but if I’m absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective on that. It was a choice I made for very personal reasons, not for reasons of credibility."
