JJ Abrams Teases “Star Wars: Episode VII” Commencement
There’s already overwhelming buzz surrounding the next installment of the “Star Wars” franchise, and director J.J. Abrams just announced he’s in pre-production mode.
The “Lost” mastermind chatted with The Wrap over the weekend, declaring that “Star Wars: Episode VII” is well on its way to filming now that the script has been finalized.
Abrams explained, "We’re working really hard and we’ve got our script and we’re in deep prep. Full steam ahead, y’know."
As for the rumor that “Breaking Bad” actor Jesse Plemons is up for a part, JJ noted, "He is one of the actors that we’ve talked to, yeah. But, you know. It’s not often that I read about actors that I’m going to be meeting … that I get to read articles about actors who are going to come in. And so I get to see someone and say, ‘Oh, I read that I’m going to see you.’ … It’s usually agents talking to people about what’s happening. It’s a lot of noise."
“Star Wars: Episode VII” is slated to hit theaters on December 18, 2015 so stay linked to the GossipCenter for all the latest updates.
