Jessie J Forced To Cancel Upcoming Show Due To Illness
After becoming suddenly ill with a viral infection, Jessee Jannounced she will have to cancel her upcoming show at Alnwick Castle in the United Kingdom.
On Friday (July 20), the 24-year-old pop singer took to her Twitter page to share the news writing, "Doctors have advised that rest is crucial for me to fully recover from the virus, so I wont be able to perform at tomorrow's gig at Alnwick Castle. The show has been moved to Saturday 25th August. Sorry to all my fans :)"
Additionally, the organizers of the event, KAL Music Limited, also released a statement to the more than 12,000 attendees explaining, "We are hugely disappointed to have to cancel Saturday's performance, but are pleased to have already confirmed an alternative date for the concert to go ahead," adding, "'We hope that all ticket holders will be able to attend what is sure to be an incredible event. We wish Jessie J a speedy recovery."
Aside from canceling tonight's performance, the "Nobody's Perfect" singer was also forced to cancel her headlining spot at Ponty's Big Weekend music event, which was set to take place in Pontypridd, in Wales this weekend.
