Jennifer Lopez: No World Cup Opening Performance After All
While the kickoff of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is going to be a party of global proportions, Jennifer Lopez won’t actually be able to perform her official song “We Are One.”
According to J. Lo’s rep, “production issues” will prevent her from joining Pitbull for Thursday’s shindig and she’ll be replaced by Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte.
The spokesperson told E! News, “We can confirm the accuracy of FIFA’s statement. Regretfully Jennifer Lopez will not be attending this year’s World Cup opening ceremonies.”
Meanwhile, the “On The Floor” singer is gearing up for her brand new album, due to hit stores next week. On Saturday (June 7) she tweeted, "The countdown is on!!! 10 days until #JLoAKA album release.”
