Earlier this week FIFA told press that Jennifer Lopez had pulled out of her performance at the 2014 World Cup kickoff in Brazil, but the “Waiting for Tonight” songstress insists that’s not the case.

Lopez issued a statement to confirm she will indeed join Pitbull and Claudia Leitte at the opening ceremony and that she was boarding a flight to Brazil on Tuesday evening (June 10).

She explained, "People get nervous, and I think it was a little bit premature to announce anything.”

The song, “We Are One (Ole Ola),” is all the doing of Pitbull, says J. Lo. "I can't take credit for this. This was one of Pitbull's call-ins. He had this record, and he's like, 'I think this record could be great for the World Cup -- will you do it with me?' And I go, 'Yeah, of course.' I'm so lucky that he gave me the opportunity.”
