Jennifer Lawrence Hosts "Saturday Night Live"
Kicking off a new season of laughs, Jennifer Lawrence hosted "Saturday Night Live" last night (January 19).
After a hilarious cold open in which "Piers Morgan" interviewed those making news for their cover ups, Lance Armstrong and Manti Te'O, the "Silver Linings Playbook" actress shared her family's reaction to her Golden Globes win.
Explaining that she has two brothers, Jennifer jokingly admitted that they have her award in their possession.
Up for an Academy Award for Best Actress, she also poked some fun at her fellow nominees, including Jessica Chastain and Naomi Watts warning them, "You're about to get served."
Of course, the skit show had to take advantage of Ms. Lawrence's role in "The Hunger Games" films, and offered up a press conference in which Katniss was asked questions like "What type of name is Katniss Everdeen?" and "Have you ever used performance enhancing drugs?" by clueless reporters while Peeta sat quietly nearby.
Another funny sketch showed a couple eating at a 1950's style diner called Johnny Twotones, where the waitresses get sassy with their customers.
Weekend Update was visited by Second Hand News reporter Anthony Crispino, who thought Kim and Kanye had scabies, rather than having a baby.
Lending their musical talents to the evening were The Lumineers, who rocked the house with songs "Ho Hey" and "Stubborn Love."
