Jennifer Lawrence Graces Hometown with a Familiar Voice
You know the old saying, you can take the girl out of her hometown, but you can’t take the hometown out of the girl? Well Jennifer Lawrence is a prime example of the phrase as she lends her voice to the University of Louisville.
The Oscar-winning actress is the narrator of a minute-long video posted at MeettheCards.com to inform fans about the athletic programs move to the Atlantic Coast Conference from the America Athletic Conference.
Starting off the clip, Jen's recognizable voice states, "I grew up in the Derby City, home to a proud and storied university, filled with rich athletic tradition and packed with fans who are as loyal and passionate as any in college sports.”
"This region and these people live and breathe the Cardinals. The ‘L' is the sign that connects all of us to one strong and united Card Nation. Now the next chapter of Louisville athletics is upon us as we join the prestigious ACC and prepare to face some of history's most accomplished and elite collegiate programs."
The ultimate message is to get fans and students ready for another year of stiff competition from all of the school's teams. Jen sums up the clip by stating, “Let’s do this.”
The Cardinals officially move to the new conference today (July 2), seven months after officials agreed on a deal.
