Jennifer Hudson: BBC Radio 1 Fun in London
Showing some love for her English fans, Jennifer Hudson headed over to London’s very own BBC Radio 1 studios today (March 6).
The “American Idol” alum was in the house to chat with Trevor Nelson about her upcoming third studio album, said to have a positive vibe throughout.
Hudson began, “I feel like the music I love has lost its feel-good factor. What happened to that? Let’s bring it back. I wish I had been born in a Whitney era, an Aretha era, but I’m not. So can we bring that back? I guess what happened is just transition and time. Things change and people change. Each generation has its own flavor and its own style.”
“I thought by my third album there should be a piece of me in it. I felt albums one and two were me just being a vocalist. But I’m an artist now. I’m confident enough in that to raise my hand now when I’m in the studio with producers and say, ‘This is what I think.’”
