Producer Jeffrey Ian Pollack Passes Away
It’s been a tough year for tragedy in Hollywood, and Jeffrey Ian Pollack died while jogging in Hermosa Beach, California on Monday (December 23).
The 54-year-old producer was found by a fellow jogger at 6:30am and initial reports suggest Pollack was in the midst of his usual morning exercise routine when he suddenly passed away.
Captain Tommy Thompson of the Hermosa Beach Police Department told press, “He was already deceased [when discovered]. He was very cold and had been there a bit.”
Thompson added, “It’s still unknown how he died. We’re not sure if it was a heart attack, but there were no signs of foul play.”
Jeffrey was responsible for introducing the world to Will Smith on “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” and his credits also included “Booty Call,” “The Tyra Banks Show,” and “Lost and Found.”
Marlon Wayons, who worked with Pollack on “Above the Rim” tweeted, "Damn RIP Jeff Pollack. So young, so healthy...Life. Wow! RIP Jeff, We'll always have ‘above the rim.’ Love Boogaloo."
