Jay Leno Opens Up About Being Fired from "The Tonight Show"
Opening up about both times losing "The Tonight Show," Jay Leno relayed his feelings towards NBC's decision on this week's episode of "60 Minutes."
When dropped for a short time for the iconic Conan O’Brien in 2009, the 63-year-old stated that he was "blindsided" and hurt, making a comparison to lost love, saying, "You know, you have a girl [who] says, 'I don’t want to see you anymore.' Why? You know, she doesn’t want to see you anymore, okay?"
However, now that the young and capable Jimmy Fallon is on deck to host the show, Jay had nothing but great things to say about him.
"I think he’s probably more like a young Johnny [Carson] than almost anybody since," he told Steve Kroft, also saying that, "This makes perfect sense to me. I understand it." Watch the video below!
