Continuing to enjoy the success of his critically acclaimed drama "Dallas Buyers Club," Jared Leto fronted the January 2014 issue of NYLON Guys magazine.

During his sit down with the publication, the 41-year-old actor/musician revealed his initial reaction to the film and even shared details about his life away from the cameras.

Highlights from Mr. Leto's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to NYLON Guys!

On taking the role in "Dallas Buyers Club":
"I got the script for 'Dallas Buyers Club" sent to me three times, and i just ignored it. I hadn't read a script years. I had no plans to ever make a film again. But I fell in love."

On becoming popular in Hollywood:
"I never thought in a million years I would be mentioned with either 'buzz' or 'Oscar.' It's completely mind-blowing. You don't do it for that, but buzz is an indication that something worked. Like, maybe this one won't be a heartbreak."

On living a life of normalcy:
"I'm actually a very private person. If you read between the lines, you're only going to find more lines. I'm not a reality star. I went to art school. I thought I would be an artist. That's all I really wanted to share with people. I still feel the same way."
