The Sopranos Wins Outstanding Drama Series

Last night marked the 59th Anniversary of the Emmy Awards. And the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles was packed by Hollywood’s A-list to see who won what. And “The Sopranos” walked away with three awards, including the coveted “Outstanding Drama Series” honors.

The now-defunct HBO series was lucky to win the award, as it rarely goes to a show that has been canceled. Tony and the gang also snagged trophies for “Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series” and “Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series.”

Grab a tissue… the long running HBO original series “The Sopranos” is over. While they will always live on in our hearts (and on store racks as DVD series), organized crime’s favorite TV outlet is no more.

"I think it's a great ending. It's a good way to go out," said Michael Imperioli, who played Tony's nephew, until he was murdered this season.

Spike TV Honors Men’s Best, Carmen Electra Strips Down

It was a good night for men. Spike TV honored the entertainment world with their first annual “Guys Choice” awards, and Tracy Morgan was there to host the night. While the show doesn’t air until June 13th, the winners were announced Saturday night (June 9) to the delight of men everywhere.

Adam Sandler was recognized as the ultimate “Guy Guy,” while his favorite band of all time, STYX performed “Renegade.” The “Best Guy Movie of All Time” went to Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau for “Swingers.”
