James Franco Sued By Former Professor
Coming as unwelcome news, James Franco is being sued by his former directing class professor who is alleging that he was defamed by the star.
According to reports, Jose Angel Santana taught a directing class at New York University, where the "127 Hours" actor attended classes.
In Santana's suit, he claims that Franco got the professor fired for giving the actor a "D".
The 34-year-old star said, “No teacher will ever be fired from NYU for giving a student a ‘D.’
"He wasn’t fired, he was asked not to come back after three years because they didn’t think he was a good teacher.”
In a separate interview, he added, "He’s not going to win the lawsuit and he’s not going to be hired at another institution.”
The defamation case was filed on Tuesday (September 4), in Manhattan Supreme Court, seeking unspecified damages.
