Jake Gyllenhaal: Back to Work After Serious Hand Injury
After severely cutting his hand on set of his new flick, "Nightcrawler" earlier this week, the handsome Jake Gyllenhaal appeared at the 2013 Variety Screening of his movie, "Prisoners" in Hollywood on Friday (November 15).
The 32-year-old posed for some snapshots with costar Maria Bello, showing up with a bandage wrapped around his left wrist. His fingers were free from the bandaged and seemingly unhurt. He was all smiles, and didn't look bothered by the incident at all.
"Donny Darjo's" rep stated that, "Jake was indeed filming Nightcrawler when during the shooting of an intense scene his character purposefully banged his hand into the mirror. Unfortunately the mirror broke and Jake's hand was badly cut up. He got numerous stitches at the ER and was released. He already returned to set for work." He was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday, November 13th for his cuts.
"Nightcrawler" is currently being filmed, and is slated for release in 2014. According to the synopsis, "A young man stumbles upon the underground world of L.A. freelance crime journalism."
