It’s scheduled to hit theaters next month, and “J. Edgar” has just released some new stills from various scenes in the film.

Thanks to a tweet from lead star Leonardo DiCaprio, fans can catch a glimpse of the much anticipated movie as well as the official trailer.

Additionally, there is some controversy over J. Edgar Hoover’s sexual preference, something about which director Clint Eastwood and DiCaprio both have strong opinions.

Despite allegations that he was gay, Hoover never said either way. “There is no evidence in the historical record on this issue,” said assistant FBI director Mike Kortan.

And William Branon, the chairman of the J. Edgar Hoover Foundation said that any depiction of Hoover and chief aide Clyde Tolson as lovers would be "allegations spun by an author of questionable repute. ... To discount the truth and portray a sexual relationship between Mr. Hoover and Clyde Tolson would truly be a miscarriage of the facts and overshadow the many contributions of Mr. Hoover."
