Meryl Streep's Humbling "Iron Lady" Premiere In Japan

Just days after receiving the Academy Award for best actress, Meryl Streep made her way to Tokyo, Japan for the premiere of "The Iron Lady".

The three-time Oscar winner posed for pictures as she was presented with two bouquets of flowers at a Tokyo theatre alongside British director, Phyllida Lloyd.

"The Iron Lady": In Theaters Now!

It's one of the most buzzed about projects, and today (January 13) Meryl Streep's Margaret Thatcher based movie "The Iron Lady" made its theatrical debut.

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd, the film is "a look at the life of Margaret Thatcher, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, with a focus on the price she paid for power."

Stepping out for an all-important event, Tom Hardy was spotted at the UK premiere of “The Iron Lady” in London, England on Wednesday (January 4).

The “Inception” stud certainly caught the attention of the excited crowd as he happily smiled for cameras while posing for pictures ahead of the feature’s screening.

Meryl Streep Premieres "The Iron Lady" in London

Debuting her much-talked-about movie overseas, Meryl Streep took center stage at the European Premiere of "The Iron Lady" in London on Wednesday evening (January 4).

The red carpet festivities too place at The BFI Southbank, with a long list of stars including the lovely Emelia Fox converging on the venue to check out the Margaret Thatcher based motion picture.

It doesn’t hit theaters until January 13th, 2012, but last night (December 13) “The Iron Lady” was all the rage at its New York City premiere.

Lead star Meryl Streep showed up at the Ziegfeld Theater looking lovely in a blue top with a black skirt and black peep-toe heels as she posed on the red carpet.
