Ireland Baldwin in ELLE September 2013: I Never Thought I Was Pretty

Her career in the fashion industry is heating up, and now Ireland Baldwin reveals how she became a model in the September 2013 issue of ELLE magazine.

While donning designer duds from Dries Van Noten and Maison Martin for the Thomas Whiteside-shot spread, the 17-year-old model dished about her mother Kim Basinger's influence on her career.

On her mother helping her with modeling:
"She thought it would be good for my confidence because I never really thought of myself as a pretty girl."

On Kim being one of the world's most beautiful women:
"She looks like she's my age. Her body, I swear, it's scary."

On her fame as she grows up:
"Even when I get to the point where I'm acting and performing, where I want to be with my career, I'm never going to think of anyone as lower than me. Everyone's the celebrity of their own life, you know?
