Idris Elba Premieres “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” in Berlin
Showing some love to his German fans, Idris Elba brought his groundbreaking flick “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” to Berlin last night (January 28).
Joined by Justin Chadwick, Anant Singh, and Nelson Mandela’s granddaughter Zindzi Mandela, the “Prometheus” hunk smiled for the shutterbugs outside Zoo Palast prior to the screening.
Mr. Elba previously told the “Today” show that prior to his death, Nelson Mandela was a fan of the way the project was developing.
“[Mandela] saw some of the film. He gave his blessing. You know, I don't look like Nelson Mandela — that wasn't in his interest. I think he wanted to find someone who could bring that spirit alive. I was really sort of taken aback by that.”
