Hilary Clinton Weighs In on Shoe-Throwing Incident
She’s not the first politician to have footwear flung at them and Hillary Clinton remained calm when a disgruntled woman chucked a shoe towards her head while she gave a keynote speech in Las Vegas.
After the suspect was removed from the room, the former Secretary of State explained her dismay over “an atmosphere and attitude in politics” that fosters extremism and even rewards it.
She explained, "That is not the way democracy works. People bring their beliefs and their concerns to the table, and work them through.”
The woman who threw the shoe was detained by security and reportedly dropped some declassified government documents before her outburst.
