Gwyneth Paltrow Set Produce Stand Up to Cancer Event Again!
Ready to fight the cause again, Gwyneth Paltrow is set to produce a star-studded television special for Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C).
The 41-year-old mother of two will work along with Joel Gallen, for the second year in a row, to broadcast the live one-hour commercial-free telecast on Sept. 5 at 8 p.m.
Paltrow was personally affected by cancer and released a statement to the Entertainment Industry Foundation stating, "Cancer profoundly touched my life when I lost my father to the disease twelve years ago, and Stand Up To Cancer gives me a powerful platform to fight for a cause that I'm passionate about.”
The event is set to take place inside the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and will air on most major TV networks including NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS. Plus, all of the money raised during the show will go straight to support SU2C and the work they accelerate for the groundbreaking cancer research.
Past celebrities in attendance include Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Aniston, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, Justin Timberlake, Katie Couric, Scarlett Johansson, Tim McGraw, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Jack Black and Keanu Reeves.
