She’s always shown such dedication to her craft, so it’s no wonder Gwyneth Paltrow felt a strong bond with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The “Shakespeare in Love” actress posted a tribute to her “Talented Mr. Ripley” costar, who died of a drug overdose on Sunday (February 2).

Gwyn uploaded a 1998 photograph of herself with PSH and Jude Law during an on-set break in Italy.

She added the caption, “Ischia 1998, post dinner, post shooting… Philip was a true genius. #philipseymourmoffman.”

Hoffman was well-loved and well-respected among his peers, and a ton of celebrities have tweeted about their sadness in the wake of his death.
