Green Day Debuts "The Forgotten" Video for "Breaking Dawn: Part 2"
After cancelling several tour dates, Green Day has released the music video for "The Forgotten" from the soundtrack for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."
The tune is the band's first involvement in the blockbuster franchise and will be released on the movie's soundtrack on November 13th, three days before it hits theaters.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt announced the cancellation of tour dates from the end of September until December 10th, as well as all scheduled appearances for January and February. Sorry to disappoint fans, he added, "Obviously the timing for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern. We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon."
However, drummer Tré Cool also announced that their next album, Green Day ¡Tré!, will be moved up to December 11th, 2012 from its original release date of January 15th, adding, "We feel bad we have to delay our tour, so to make up for it we want to give our fans the music earlier than we had planned. If we couldn’t be there to play it for you live, the least we could do was give you the next best thing.”
