Y100 Presents Ultimate Grammy Upsets
The 2013 Grammy Awards are just around the corner and there’s bound to be at least a few surprises when it comes to the winners.
In the past, the Grammy committee has arguably made some pretty sketchy oversights, leading to a plethora of upsets along the way.
For example, Mumford and Sons lost the Best New Artist in 2011 to Esperanza Spalding. Thankfully Marcus and the boys didn’t let it get them down, and they’re selling out arenas and scoring platinum albums to this day.
Additionally, Creed surprised everyone when “With Arms Wide Open beat the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Californication” for Best Rock song in 2001.
And who could forget No Doubt's loss to Shawn Colvin back in 1998 when “Sunny Came Home” bested “Don’t Speak” for Song of the Year. Sheesh!
