Retirement and baby announcements, celebrity scandals and highest honors rolled through the celebrity circle this week, and here is what grabbed our attention at GossipCenter.

David Letterman Announces Retirement Plans: Rumors have been flying for awhile now, but on Thursday (April 3), David Letterman officially announced his retirement. Stepping down in 2015, there was no mention of who would actually replace the longtime-host, but speculation is abuzz. In a statement, President Leslie Moonves explained, "When Dave decided on a one-year extension for his most recent contract, we knew this day was getting closer, but that doesn’t make the moment any less poignant for us. For 21 years, David Letterman has graced our Network’s air in late night with wit, gravitas and brilliance unique in the history of our medium."

James Franco Lands in Hot Water: He's frequently sharing on social media, but James Franco found himself in a bit of hot water after a leaked conversation with a teen fan made the rounds on Wednesday (April 2). In the chat, the "Pineapple Express" star asks 17-year-old Lucy if she has a boyfriend, if she wants to meet up, and if he should get a hotel room. After she even divulges that she won't be 18 until May, the 35-year-old actor persists and proposes to get together after verifying his own identity.

Orlando Bloom Gets his Walk of Fame Star: Honored for his fantastic acting chops, Orlando Bloom received the esteemed reward of having his name emblazoned upon the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday (April 2). The 37-year-old hunk also went into an interview with Variety, reflecting on his upstart career, saying, "I would say that I’m more conscious now than I have been...I'm much more strategic now than I've ever been before, much clearer about the kinds of movies I like to watch, and the ones that play to my strengths."

Nicole Polizzi is Pregnant! "Jersey Shore" starlet Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and fiancé Jionni LaValle are thrilled to share that their second child is well on his or her way! Snooki told Us Weekly, "Jionni and I were trying to have our second baby since November, so every month we kept taking tests. I'm due in the fall around my wedding time. Busy year!"

Michael Strahan is GMA Bound: Rumors started swirling that Michael Strahan was eyeing an opening on the "Good Morning America" table, and on April 2nd, the former NFL star confirmed the news. While chatting with his "Live with Kelly and Michael" co-host Kelly Ripa, Strahan addressed the situation, saying, "The big news is that I'm gonna be on GMA now. So what is so surprising is I had a meeting, and we talked about the possibility there. Then I went to see Captain America with Samuel L. Jackson, and I get out of screening and I check my messages and I'm on Good Morning America."
